Web Services: Marketleap

Found an interesting free service while wandering around the internet. That service is provided by Marketleap and allows users to see how popular their website/blog is compared to other websites.

Here's the report for my various blogs:

www.tv.com/users/mikebriggs/profile.php 1 0 0 0 1

www.spinnakersailing.com 944 15 15 682 232
nationalsbaseballfan.blogspot.com 985 36 36 546 367
The bolded URLs are mine. The first one is my blog on TV.com. As I suspected, no one recognizes or cares about that blog. The second bolded URL is my newest blog over at Wordpress.com that I started to report various interesting things I find around the internet, though mostly use to talk about webcomics. The next one down the list is this blog. I wasn't surprised about the link popularity of the first three, but surprised that my baseball one is almost out of the white Limited Presence (0-1000 references) range. I have one more blog that isn't listed above, both because I didn't have ability to include it and because I don't use that blog anymore, and rarely wrote in it when I did use it.

Yes, as I suspected, it has little in the way of links . . . um, what? I have something like four entries, and it's my most linked blog, and is actually in the next level up (Average Presence) with 2004 links?

Ok, I see, most of the links are from just one website. Strange really.

Well, this was fun, off I go . . .
