Comments:
I've been waiting for that George R.R. Martin book so dang long, I don't think I'm going to believe it's really coming out until I'm actually holding it in my greedy little hands. Hopefully the fifth book won't take another five years.

Well, according to his website, the fifth book is already half written. The fourth book was split in half, and I can't remember if I already wrote this .. .

"half written" - right. The fifth book will probably continue the trend and need to be split up also, this time probably into three books.

It's been so long that I believe that I've forgotten what the series is about, other than some kid up north fighting the undead, and rebels, and some girl that has a deep connection with dragons (I hope this small bit that I still recall is actually connected with this series . .. wait, just remembered a kid that fell off a castle wall, or something and had to be carried around everywhere . . . eventually everything will come back to me, hopefully).
